Virginia Marie Van Wey was born on December 8, 1938 in Drayton, ND to Fred and Anna Exilda (Pearson) Salzman. She passed away on September 5, 2017 at her home in Hinton, OK at the age of 78. Virginia attended school in South Milwaukee. She married Glenn Van Wey on November 5, 1955 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They lived in Racine, WI, and Kenosha, then back to South Milwaukee. They moved to Hinton April 19, 2008. Virginia loved skating, crocheting, working with wood, and reading. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in South Milwaukee, WI, Sacred Heart, and St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Racine, WI, and the Rock of Restoration Church in Calumet, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anna Salzman, son, David Van Wey, daughter in law, Ann Van Wey, 2 great grandsons, Michael Williams and Malikye Williams, 3 brothers, Daniel Salzman, Gerald Salzman, and Patrick Salzman.

Survivors Include: her husband, Glenn Van Wey of Hinton, OK, her children, Jack Van Wey and wife Penny of Hinton, OK, John Van Wey and wife Sally of Grove City, MN, Anna Van Wey of Racine, WI, and Theresa Van Wey of Hinton, OK, her grandchildren, Candace Perkins and husband James of Lawton, OK, Damein Van Wey and wife Shonda of Yukon, OK, Nick Van Wey and wife Nicole of Mustang, OK, Jamie Van Wey of Racine, WI, Julia and husband Bruce Forbeck of Neshkoro, WI, Katie Van Wey, Lisa Hanson of Racine, WI, David Hanson and wife Amy of Kenosha, WI, Timmy (Papoose) Williams and wife Raeann of Racine, WI, and Kristen (Spuds)McGee and Shavontai of Racine, WI. 15 great grandchildren, Mercedez Van Wey, Reagan Durham, Braden Van Wey, Logan Perkins, Bruce Forbeck, Jr. and Ricky Van Wey, Devin Hanson, Janna Kate (Munchkin) Hanson, Adrian, Jaden Hanson, Allie Hanson, Tanner Hanson, Amari Anderson, Kayden Williams, Layden Williams, and Kenzie McGee, as well as many other relatives and friends.
