Obituary

Carolyn Kimble was born on June 19, 1938 in Gracemont, OK to Wilbur and Oleta J. (Mears) Malakosky. She passed away on May 9, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in El Reno, OK at the age of 78. Carolyn attended grade school at Mound Valley School near Sickles, and attended High School in Hinton, till her Junior year. Carolyn married Troy Kimble. The couple made their home in Hinton, and later divorced. While living in Hinton, she worked in Weatherford at the 3M Company. In the late 70’s Carolyn began a new journey for a new career. She received her GED, and Carolyn earned her Bachelor Degree of Science in Elementary Education at SWOSU. Upon graduation she taught from 1980 to 2004 in OKC Public School system. Carolyn was a wonderful cook and seamstress; she made many costumes for May Day Programs. Carolyn took great pride in decorating her home. Carolyn was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hinton, OK; OEA and NEA. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

Survivors Include: her daughters, Shara Dawn Christensen of El Reno, OK and husband Terry of Hinton, OK, and Launa Kimble and Billy Reeder of Thomas, OK, her grandchildren, Kara Monroe and husband Brian and their girls, Addison and Bristol of Hinton, OK, Clay Clinton and Joyce of Owasso, OK. Kelli Reeder of Thomas, and Kenzi and Levi Haigler of Canton, OK. Her siblings, Kerry Malakosky and wife Jane Ann of Weatherford, OK, and Judy Simmons and husband Ed of Hinton, OK. Her nieces and nephews, Amanda Milburn and family, of North Canton, OH, and Rachel Foster and family of Clinton, OK, and Kaci Beaver and family, Dakin, Brilee, and McHale of Hinton, OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Oleta Malakosky, her brothers, Bobby Duane and Butch Malakosky.
