Obituary

Kirby Coffey was born on February 27, 1962 in Hinton, OK to Lionel D. and Peggy (Herbold) Coffey. He passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in El Reno, OK at the age 56. Kirby graduated from Hinton High School in 1980 where he was very active, and an excellent athlete in all sports. He graduated with an Associate Degree from OSU Okmulgee as a Diesel Mechanic. He moved back to Hinton where he and his dad Lionel owned and operated Hinton Diesel for several years. Kirby worked at Great Dane as a mechanic and service manager in OKC, worked as a Tri State Claims insurance adjustor, worked for worked as a custom bailer and harvester, worked for Basse Trucking from 2008-2011, and worked at F&F Toolco/Graco in Seminole before moving back to Hinton in 2013. Kirby has worked as a cattle and freight transporter for the last five years. He loved hot rods, riding his motorcycle, playing softball, and any kind of racing. He was a very innovative fabricator, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hinton, OK.

Survivors Include: his wife, Tammy Coffey of Hinton, OK, his children, Kory Coffey and wife Heather of Edmond, OK, Kaeley Coffey and Riley Shields of McLoud, OK, Tasha Nelson and husband Terry of Weatherford, OK, Chris Lenox of Weatherford, OK, Hunter Lenox of Cromwell, OK, and Jesse Lenox of Oregon; his grandchildren, Stori, Blane, Courtney, Kameran, Madysen, Jack, Tayler, and Brody; his mother, Peggy Coffey of Hinton, OK; his sister, Jannetta Coffey Clark of Mustang, OK, sister in law, Pamela Pretz of Tulsa, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lionel Coffey, his sister, Kimberlyn Coffey, his grandparents, Melvin and Juanita Coffey, Al and Florence Herbold.
