Donald Gene Branson

Donald Gene Branson was born November 23, 1939 to Ben and Dixie (Phipps) Branson in Hydro, OK.

He passed away on December 26, 2017 at The Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, OK at the age of 78. Don graduated from Hydro High School. He served in the US Army Reserves out of Weatherford, OK. Don worked for the State Department before going to work in the Oilfield as a salesman and heavy equipment operator, and was a professional coyote hunter. Don loved to work and was always working or coyote hunting. Don moved to the Hinton area in 1981. He married Connie Johnson and the couple was married for 35 years. He loved rodeoing. He enjoyed roping with his sons and the Hydro Round Up Club. He was very particular in all that he did. Don loved to visit and was very outgoing.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Dixie Branson, son, Chris Branson, 6 siblings, Charles J., Leonard, Rex, Jody, and Kenneth Branson and Wanda Boling and Betty McClure.

Survivors include, wife, Connie of the home in Hinton, OK, children, Rhonda Runnels and husband Dusty of Enid, OK, Troy Branson and wife Jana of Weatherford, OK, Andy Snow and wife Karen of Yukon, OK, Jill Hall and husband Brian of Hinton, OK, 11 grandchildren, Nikki Swaney and husband Joe of Lindsey, TX, Danielle Goodall and husband Heath of Weatherford, OK, Ryan Branson of Lubbock, TX, Colby Branson of Weatherford, OK, Kyle and Bryce Branson of OKC, OK, Savannah Snow of El Reno, OK, Payton Snow and wife Kelli of Hinton, OK, Logan Snow of MWC, OK, Laken Snow of El Reno, OK, and Skye Hall of Hinton, OK, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 siblings, Ben Branson of Foss, OK, Shirley Williams and husband Roy of Tulsa, OK, and Glenda Branson of Hydro, OK.
