Betsy Wilder Obituary

Betsy Eubanks Wilder was born June 4, 1942, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to Floyd "Eubie" and Bessie (McDonald) Eubanks. She passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at her home in Geary, Oklahoma, at the age of 83.  Following high school, Betsy attended Wake Forest University, where she earned her degree in Biology. She began her professional career as a buyer for a clothing company on the East Coast. She later moved to Florida, where she worked as a realtor and in pharmaceutical sales. It was during this time that she met Benny Wilder. The couple was united in marriage on March 16, 1984, in Bethany, Oklahoma, and made their home in Oklahoma.  After moving to Oklahoma, Betsy taught school at Putnam City for several years and later commuted from Bethany to teach at Geary Public Schools until her retirement. She was a dedicated educator who cared deeply for her students.  Betsy enjoyed traveling and especially loved visiting the beach and going to Disney World. She cherished spending time outdoors watching birds, and in her later years, she found joy in the simple comfort of being at home. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church, where she was saved and baptized.

She is survived by her daughter, Tatum Harrall and husband Cecil of Geary, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Elliott, Hollis, Kyle, and Karver all of Geary; one niece, Amy Holmes of Conyers, Georgia; two nephews, Sonnie and Scott Eubanks of Conyers, Georgia area; her devoted nurses, Allison Bailey, Logain Hollis, Elliott Harrall, Deana Reed, and Frances Espinoza; and her loving dog, Blossom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd "Eubie" Eubanks and Bessie Worthington, her husband, Benny Wilder; and one brother, Ray Eubanks.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Geary, Oklahoma, with Rev. Dick Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in the Geary Cemetery.
