Robert Dale "Bob" Hooten was born February 26, 1946 to John Robert Hooten and Verneta Frances (Taylor) Knisley in Hinton, OK. He passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his home in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 72. Bob attended Harding High School in Oklahoma City. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart. He was united in marriage to Joyce Woods May 31, 1966 in Colorado Springs, CO. They lived in Oklahoma City, where Bob owned and operated Bob's Auto Trim for many years. He enjoyed collecting cars, was involved in Boy Scouts of America Troop 15, and loved being with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hooten and Verneta Knisley.
Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce Hooten of the home, OKC, OK; children, Dale Hooten and his wife Melissa and their children, Aribella and Alexandra of Yukon, Robert Hooten and his wife Jennifer and their children, Taylor and Olivia of Norman, Robin Manly and her husband Thad and their children, Thad and Savannah of Moore, OK; and his brother, Lynn Hooten of Watonga.
