Louise Henson Seurer was born on October 2, 1918, to Ernest C. and Effie (Cox) Henson in Wynnewood, OK. She passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 98. Louise attended Hinton, Mt. Zion, Pleasant View, Lone Mound, Prairie Dale, and Walnut Grove Schools before returning to Hinton Schools again. She married Ambrose Seurer on November 27, 1935, in El Reno, OK. Louise worked at Hampton’s Grocery among other various places in Hinton before owning and operating Louise’s Department Store for 25 years. She and Ambrose also owned Seurer Hardware and ran adjacent businesses on Main Street. They enjoyed collecting antiques and owned an antique store. She started bowling in her 80’s and enjoyed bowling until she was 96.
Louise was a charter member of the Hinton Lions Club, a board member of the Heritage Savings and Loan, Chamber of Commerce, Hinton Round Up Club, avid volunteer for the Hinton Fair and Rodeo, and an original board member and lifetime supporter of The Hinton Historical Museum. She had a tremendous passion for the growth and well-being of her home city of Hinton, but her biggest passion was for her family.
She is survived by her only daughter, Nikita Price and husband Bruce of Hinton, OK, 3 grandchildren, Shana Thiel and husband Randy of Hinton, OK, Tracy Hughes and husband Kevin of Mission, TX, and Wade Price and wife Jennifer of Morrison, OK, 6 great-grandchildren, Adam Thiel and wife Kendra of Moore, OK, Nikki Worthley and husband Nathan of Moore, OK, Shayli Hill and husband Garrett of Weatherford, OK, Teal Keller and husband Drew of Cypress, TX, Taraka Hughes of Broken Arrow, OK, Savyn Mansfield of Morrison, OK, and 3 sisters, Clara Geiger of Broken Arrow, OK, Vonda Von Feldt of Bullhead City, AZ, and Effie Oldham and husband Al (Rolo) of Jarrell, TX, and brother-in-law, Richard Wise of Broken Arrow, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest C. and Effie Henson, husband Ambrose Seurer, brothers, Lacy, Leon, and Joe Henson, sisters, Imogene Glassmeyer, Lidie Marie Wise, and her double cousin who was considered a brother, Calvin Cox.

Burial: Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK, services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma.
