Obituary

Doris "Sue" Hobbs was born on December 5, 1955 to John "Tommy" and Doris Estelle (Sims) Hervey in Mineral Wells, TX. She passed away on June 21, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 61. Sue moved to Gracemont when she was just 9 years old. She attended and graduated from Gracemont High School in the class of 1974. After graduation she was employed at Hollytex Carpet Mill for a few years. Sue married the love of her life, Ron Hobbs on July 1, 1978, in Rotan, New Mexico. Sue worked for Western Farmers for a short time. She was the Grants and Projects Manager for Caddo County District #2, and was currently serving as Election Board Secretary for Caddo County. Sue took her work very seriously. She collected pigs, bells, and angels. Sue's favorite color was purple. Her greatest hobbies were her dear granddaughters. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gracemont, OK. Sue definitely had the gift of hospitality. Everyone she came in contact felt acceptance and an abundance of love from her. She served people around her selflessly.

Sue was preceded in death by her dad, Tommy Hervey, her grandparents, Jimmie Sims and Jakolene Basham Sims.

Survivors Include:, her husband Ron Hobbs of Anadarko, OK, one son, Brett Hobbs of Oklahoma City, OK, and Gina Hobbs of Edmond, OK and their daughters, Kressa and Kenna Hobbs both of Edmond, OK, her mother, Doris Goucher and husband, Gordon, of Anadarko, OK, her siblings, Carol Hervey of Antlers, OK, Neva Claborn of Moore, OK, Charles Hervey and wife Cindy of Chickasha, OK, Phyllis & Robert Williams of Gracemont, Deborah & Leldon Birch of Gracemont, Mechele & Gary Perry of Anadarko, Chuck Goucher of Lindsey and Traci & James Britt of Anadarko, and a host of other nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.
