He met Barbara in the summer of 1970 and they were married a year later on June 11, 1971 in Miami, OK. They made their home in Hinton, OK where Ras worked as a homebuilder and commercial contractor for many years. Later, he worked as a truck driver for CRST and was a member of America’s Road Team. He also owned and operated multiple businesses and worked as an independent contractor. Ras was an energetic hardworking man who always had new and creative idea up his sleeve.
Ras enjoyed taking care of his horses, Shy and Shorty, as well as his dog D.J. He loved collecting trains, John Wayne memorabilia and, of course, watching John Wayne movies.
