Richard L. Redus was born in Chandler, OK on May 25, 1935 to William Chester and Ruby Francis (Trook) Redus. He passed away on March 7, 2017 in Kingfisher, OK at the age of 81. Richard graduated from Eagle City High School. He married Patsy R. Harp on May 5, 1967 in Watonga, OK. They lived in Watonga, and have lived in Kingfisher for the last 24 years. He worked as a mechanic for Dobbins & Ray, Metheny, and P& K Equipment for over 50 years. Richard enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening, working on small engines, and traveling to Eastern Oklahoma and Eureka Springs. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Kingfisher, OK.
Survivors Include: his wife, Pat Redus of the home in Kingfisher, OK, his children, Richard Redus, Jr. and wife Vera of Binger, OK, Bobby Warren and wife Cheryl of Binger, OK, Angela Quisenberry and husband Jack of Elmore City, OK, Ronda Greer and husband Larry of Fay, OK, Kimberly Ann McSpiritt and husband Tim of Fay, OK, James Edward Barringer and wife Donna of Watonga, OK, William Matthew Redus of Kingfisher, OK, and Carolyn Mackey of El Reno, OK, his 17 grandchildren, his 26 great grandchildren, his sister, Fern Brown of Marietta, OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruby Redus, and 2 sisters, Ruth Eaton and Lois Switzer.
