Dorothy A. Blevins was born January 31, 1934 to Bill and Katharina (Lindemann) Debano in Hinton, OK. She passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 in Hinton, OK at the age of 84. Dorothy graduated from Hinton High School in 1952. While in high school she worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company. She worked paying her own way through college at the school cafeteria, graduating with a Degree in Elementary Education from Southwestern State College in Weatherford in 1955 and receiving her Master's Degree in 1971. Dorothy taught school in New Mexico, Texas, and Kansas before moving back to Oklahoma in 1972. She began teaching at Hinton Public Schools in 1973 teaching middle school students and eventually becoming Principal before retiring in 1992. Dorothy enjoyed reading, cross stitch, word finds, crossword puzzles, playing rook, Mexican dominoes, pitch, all types of games, loved all animals, and collecting rolling pins. She was a member of the Red Hatters, the Willing Workers Club, volunteering and attending the Hinton Sr. Citizens, and had been a member of the First Christian Church in Hinton since 1973. Dorothy loved her family and never missed any of her kids or grandkids activities.
Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Sally Blevins and Georgie Rasco of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mary Randall and David of Hinton, OK; two grandsons, Dane Randall of Oklahoma City, OK, and Bryce Randall of Stillwater, OK; one niece and two nephews, Dee Debano Burns, Scott Debano, and Tracy Debano, and many great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Katharina Debano, her partner Charles Howard, and one brother, Jimmie Debano.
