Joseph James Paul Jackson

August 23, 1991 - January 24, 2017


Joseph James-Paul Jackson was born on August 23, 1991 in Fairfield, CA, to Ronald Joseph Jr. and Jeannia Kay (Giblet) Jackson, He passed away on January 24, 2017 at his home in Binger, OK at the age of 25. Joseph was raised in Rocky, Oklahoma running canyons. He graduated from Sentinel High School and helped his high school team to the state tournament his senior year of 2010. Joseph was an avid reader. He would read the classics and critique the authors. He also loved modern fiction. He was very philosophical, loved music, movies, and was especially drawn to the written word. Joseph always put himself last. He had dreams of teaching literature; of having a son to teach to play baseball. He taught Tristan to play baseball and was a great cheerleader as Tristan's high school team won back to back state championships. He was faithful to encourage Rose in her songwriting and guitar playing. He was a caregiver who fiercely protected his mom and watched out for his younger siblings. He especially became close to little 8 month old Emma while caring for her. She loved him and took great joy in his attention.

Survivors Include: his parents; Ronald and Jeannia Jackson siblings Ashley Kay Jackson, Tristan Nathaniel Jackson and Missouri Rose Jackson all of Binger, OK; Niece Emma Kay Lee Jackson of Binger, OK; grandparents Darlene Kay Giblet of Weatherford, OK, Ronald Joseph Jackson, Sr. and Darlene Rae Jackson of Vacaville, CA, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandpa, Donald Ray Giblet; great-grand mothers: Nina Bolon and Lenore Holman.
