Monte A. Creps was born July 24, 1948 in Centralia, Illinois to Raymond and Betty (Stonecypher) Creps. He passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Watonga, Oklahoma at the age of 69. Monte attended Greenfield Schools and graduated from Ames High School in Ames, Oklahoma. After graduation he joined the US Army during the Vietnam War. After his enlisted time he served his country in the Army National Guard. Monte moved back to the Watonga area where he worked as a truck driver in the oilfield. He then became the Unit Administrator at the Armory. He attended EMT and Paramedic School, while in the National Guard, training which eventually led him to a job as an instructor. Monte served many years and retired from being a volunteer firefighter. He was very actively involved for over 30 years as a volunteer organizer of the Watonga Children with Cancer Camps sponsored by the Watonga Fire Department. He was a member of the Watonga American Legion. He was a Protestant.
Monte was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Betty Creps, 2 siblings, Scott Creps and Miles Creps.
Survivors Include, wife, Grace Creps of the home in Watonga, OK, Lee Scott and wife Vanessa of Castle Rock, CO, 3 grandchildren, Lauren and Cheyenne Scott of Castle Rock, CO and Kaitlyn Strawn and husband Ryan of Eldorado, OK, siblings, Richard Creps and wife Barbara of Okeene, OK and Kevin Creps and wife Marlene of Kingfisher, OK as well as 5 nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
