Billie Irene (Kinslow) Bowling

Billie Irene (Kinslow) Bowling, was born August 9, 1931, in Fort Towson, OK, to Arthur and Elsie (Berry) Kinslow. Her mother passed away not to long after she was born. She was raised by her grandmother, Gertrude Kinslow, her uncle Bob Kinslow, and aunt Bessie Kinslow. She passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Carrollton, TX, at the age of 86. She attended Binger Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Allen Loren Bowling, March 9, 1950, in Anadarko, OK, and he preceded her in death August 12, 2012, in Carrollton, TX. Billie worked at Southwestern Bell in Binger, as a switchboard operator before the system went “dial”. She worked with Poe on the farm, picked cotton, cleaned houses, worked at Kimberly's restaurant, Binger Nursing Home, operated an in home day care, along with many other task. Billie enjoyed being a grandmother, cooking, sewing, growing flowers, working in her yard, taking vacations, volunteering, community service and was active with Lesley's school activities, and volunteered at the Binger Baptist Church. Billie was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Viewing will be held at the Turner Funeral Home in Binger, OK, Thursday afternoon through Friday night.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elsie Kinslow, Gertrude Kinslow, Bob and Bessie Kinslow, step-mother Jeanette Kinslow, Leroy Kinslow, Pete and Melinda Kinslow, and Lucile Mackey.

Survivors include, one son, Lesley Bowling and his wife Sarah, and one grandson Ryan Bowling of Little Elm, TX; Jimmy Nabors of Binger, OK, who Billie and Poe helped raise, a special cousin that is like a twin sister to her, Ellen (Kinslow) Airheart, Max and Bonnie Paschal, Cordie Johnston, Danny and Vickie Nabors, Kenneth Nabors all from Amarillo, TX, Joyce (Nabors) Farrow of Binger, step-brother Curtis Kinslow, step-sister Kathy (Kinslow) Percey and Kathy’s son Ian Percey of Bonham, TX, her dear and faithful friend Laverne Farr of Binger, and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Binger Baptist Church, Binger, OK, 73009.
