Obituary

Roy Alvin Ellis was born February 24, 1927 Eugene and Fern (Onstott) Ellis in Tupelo, OK. He passed away on February 3, 2018 in Weatherford, OK at the age of 90. Roy served in the US Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Mamie Louise Ragsdale November 19, 1949 in Princeton, TX, and she preceded him in death November 4, 2010 in Weatherford, OK. They moved to Hinton in 1956. Roy worked for the City of Hinton, Red Rock Canyon State Park, and was foreman of Tindel Material Company. Roy enjoyed watching TV, especially Baseball and Golf, building and working with his hands, and most of all loved his family. Roy was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Fern Ellis, his wife, Louise, daughter, Kathy Ellis, two sisters, Edna Frost and Pauline Roan, and four brothers, Marvin, Jay, Elza and Rat Ellis.

Roy is survived his daughter, Mary, of Hinton, OK; two grandchildren, Jeremy Miller and his wife Connie of Texoma, OK, and Amanda Marrow and her husband Robert of Villa Roca, GA; great grandchildren, Mason Andrew Soto, Abigail Christine Soto, Aaron Thomas Miller, and Bradley Dean Miller; one step-granddaughter, Allison Marrow; siblings, Mary Lou Simms of Elk City, OK, and David Ellis and his wife Sharon of Hinton, OK; sister-in-law, Shirley Ellis of Hinton; and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
