Ralph Gilbert Peck was born August 14, 1937, 9 miles Southwest of Geary at the family farm to Gilbert Marion and Lillie Irene (White) Peck. He passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 surrounded by his family in Wichita, KS at the age of 80. Ralph graduated from Geary High School in 1955. He was united in marriage to Janette Johnson May 7, 1956 in Hinton, OK. They moved to Wichita, KS, where he worked at Eby Construction for 5 years, worked for the City of Wichita, Kansas, Traffic Maintenance Supervisor retiring January 29, 1989 after 30 years of service. Ralph was a Deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church in Wichita, KS where he led the Prayer Ministry and was very active in many areas of the church, Ralph and Jann later joined the Calvary Baptist Church in Derby, KS where they have been active as well. Ralph enjoyed raising and showing Bantam Chickens for 37 years, enjoyed refeering basketball games, and was President of the fan club for his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His family was the joy of Ralph's life and didn't miss an event or activity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Irene Peck, one sister, Gerri Petticrew (Vance), and one brother-in-law, J.R. Howard.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Jann Peck; two children, Randy Peck (Sheri), and Kim Zimpfer; six grandchildren, Heidi Romenius (Tom), Brent Peck (Sr. Airman Jenny), Sr. Airman Tanner Peck (Morgan), Kaytlin Nierman (Staff SGT Jacob), Kasey Peck (Maddie), and Lindsay Haas; four great grandchildren, Liam and Easton Peck, Tristan Romenius and Beckett Nierman; one sister, JoAnne Howard; one brother, Bob Peck (Kathy); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
