Obituary

Rosanna Pedro Williams was born January 3, 1942, at Concho OK, to John and Rose (Charcoal) Pedro. She passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017, at her home in Binger, OK, at the age of 75. Rosanna attended and graduated from Chiloco High School and went on to earn her Associates of Arts Degree in Legal Assistance from the University of New Mexico. She served in the US Navy from 1960-1962. After her time in the Service she moved to Calumet, OK. She was married to Howard Williams. She moved to Binger then to Gracemont for a short time before returning back to Binger. Rosanna worked as an administrative assistant for the Cheyenne and Arapaho and for the Caddo Tribes. She was a member of the Native American Church where she was one of the Caddo Native American Church Advisors. Rosanna was very traditional in her culture and traditions. She attended Rabbit Lodge, Sundance, participated in Sweat Lodge, and one of the first women fancy dancers. Her favorite past time was playing bingo, going to the casino, and loved going to dances.

Survivors Include: 6 children; Toni Cartwright and companion Frank Mosqueda of Anadarko, OK, John Cannon and wife Debbie of Santa Fe, NM, Lawana R. Cannon of Fairview, OK, David D. Cannon of OKC, OK, Lisa Buller and husband Nathan of Binger, OK, and Brian Williams of Binger, OK, 15 grandchildren; Jennifer Red Hat, Eric Cartwright, Jeremy Davis, Heaven Pond, Derrick Pond, Alexandria Cartwright, William Pond, David Pond, Andrew Williams, Antoinette Cannon, Darren Pond, Joshua Pond and Kendel Pond, Adina Herrera and Dion Herrera; 23-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters; Linda Gomez of Taos, NM, and Ella Reese of OKC, OK, 2 brothers; David Pedro and companion Brenda of Penasco, NM, and Silas Pedro of OKC, OK.

Rosanna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Pedro, husband Howard Williams, 4 brothers; Clifford Tony Pedro, Robert Dan Pedro, John Edward Pedro, Wesley Dale Pedro, sister, Janice Marie Spottedcorn, nieces and nephews; Michael Schildt, Mark Gomez, Tiona Gomez, Gloria Spottedcorn, Aaron Spottedcorn.
